I must have been hungry when I was choosing books over the last month because I have lots of cookbooks. Every imaginable cookbook on earth...organic cooking, cooking without using wheat, Japanese style, cooking with ginger...just everything.. Then Joan Larkin donated a great many wonderful books and you guessed it, there were lots of cookbooks in the lot..So, they are all on sale, 25% off the price marked. Come on in have some magic coffee, a Frank the Baker pastry, a piece of quiche or a bagel and look over the cookbooks for a great deal.
This week is Valentine's Day and I already have several living plant arrangements, including bonsai and roses..more on the way.. They are unique..not at all like the boring FTD things they make and they are all reasonably priced, from $7.00 to $45.00...the most expensive one is in a vintage tin mailbox. I always have unique arrangements in pots for living plants.....no cut flowers, no plastic butterflys, no plastic at all in fact..I despise plastic:-) Anyway, remember your sweetie and support your local gathering place at the same time.
Coffee does not financially support the coffeeshop. It is the combination of many areas which somehow come together to keep the place open. Book sales, plants, jewelry, antiques and the food and coffee...all are necessary to pay for the place..We charge no membership fees(not a bad idea), but we do accept donations and there are people in and out of the community, who generously donate money, books and other items on a regular basis. Feel free to join them in supporting a business with an open-minded focus.
